thanks, Mike! Cant wait.
Just 1 more question, how many tutorials you plan on having? Will there be some simple GUI?

I have no idea how many tutorials I will have

I just write them because I enjoy it
I was originally thinking of creating a simple GUI, yes. It really isnt that hard so long as you stick to linear modes and software based rendering

Of course, this isnt a good option for commercial systems.

Sorry, my primary system was hit by a few trojans

I still have a couple of odd issues but for the most part it seems to be under control.
I am going to be releasing it either today or tomorrow after cleanup and a virii scan on the uploaded files.
Sorry for the delay.

And a question for Mike, when will you talk about the shell and the gui? No rushing, just asking

Well.
Given the tutorials so far, you do have enough to make your own basic shell.
You have keyboard input, memory management, console out, and access to the PIT.
That is enough to make a calculator or a timer (or some strange combination of both).
Let your imagination wander ^_^

so are we going to talk about the shell after FDC? I have been following the tutorials so far I really like it, great work, guys, thanks for that.
Just wonder what are topics you're planning on next Shell, User Interface? When would we be able to draw a window or two?
And please post the demo for tut 19

Sorry for the delay; I would have released it sooner but I had a few things I had to work with in our other projects.
I decided to release the current demo now. Please keep in mind there might be some bugs; if there is any problems found please let me know.
It can be accessed from Chapter 19 in the series. You may need to manually refresh the page to see the demo download.
I hope this helps out in your own projects
